Frozen Blueberry Jam Recipe (Small Batch)
Ingredients
- 2- 4 cups fresh or thawed frozen blueberries
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Combine: Put the blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice into a medium pot. Mash: Gently mash some of the berries with a potato masher to release their juices and natural pectin.
Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then lower the heat and simmer for about 15 to 30 minutes, stirring often.
Test: The jam is ready when it thickens and leaves a clear wake when you drag a spoon through it, or reaches 220°F (104.4°C) on a candy thermometer.
Cool & Store: Remove from heat, let it cool completely, and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Or put in sterilized warm jars and water bath can for 15 min.
