Curry

Curry is a generic name for a whole class of Indian spices. You will find many variations in flavor from one curry blend to another. Common ingredients found in most curry powders include coriander, turmeric, cumin, and some kind of chili powder.

Once you start making your own curry powder you will find endless flavor possibilities. Adding a sprinkling of curry powder to your food to boost its fat burning potential.

  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seed
  • 2 TBSP Coriander Seeds
  • ½ tsp Cayenne powder
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek
  • ½ tsp Ginger powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Cardamom
  • ½ tsp Black pepper

Place seeds and powders in a spice grinder or coffee grinder. Mix until the spices are ground. Store in an airtight container. Use 1 tablespoon to flavor a meal for four people.
